Currently we are working on the 9/11 conspiracy project, so I thought I would look up some conspiracy theories on President Kennedy's Assassination. One conspiracy is that Jacqueline Kennedy, his wife, planned it. Some people believe that if she did plan it that her motive would've been the whole Marilyn Monroe. Some people believe that the CIA played a role in the assassination of President Kennedy. They believe the motive would be that the CIA was upset with the changes going on in the agency after the Bay of Pigs invasion failed. Another conspiracy is that Vice President Lydon Johnson organized the assassination because he and Kennedy had different political and personal views. He planned his murder so he would not get re-elected. I could go on about different conspiracies, but I will leave this link if you would like to look at some more conspiracies.
What is a conspiracy theory that you believe could be true or a really weird conspiracy theory that some people believe in?
The conspiracy that I believe in is that they Vice President Lyndon Johnson organized the assassination because he and Kennedy had different political and personal views because in the movie that we saw, the Vice president Lyndon Johnson never said anything about how he felt. Also in the movie they didn't say that he was a suspect. So I think that Lyndon Johnson hired the guy that killed Johnson.
ReplyDeleteI believe that somebody tampered with the evidence from President Kennedy's body at the hospital office, because the bullet could not have possibly come out of his body completely in-tact and clean, as well as the fact that there was a first time homicide body examiner, which makes this entire system of events and evidence seem very fishy.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you Carina. While it does seem that every possible explanation for how Kennedy was murdered has holes in it. I believe that the story the the government provides is close to the real story how ever, I think we all can agree that the bullet that was found on the hospital tray is very unlikely to be the one that past through the president and the Senator. If that is true that does not mean that the government is hiding something and it is a cover up, because that would not provide any evidence that they are. But it does raise some questions. Thoughts on the perfectly shaped bullet?
ReplyDeleteMariana, interesting that you bring up those two theories. With all due respect, I have never actually heard of such theory concerning the sudden portrayal of Mrs. Kennedy, but I can understand as to why people would make up such theory. I did some research on this theory and located some of the "evidence" behind this theory that states Mr. Kennedy's right temple bullet wound corresponded to an upwards shot from behind his left ear which is blamed to be caused by Jackie, herself. The conspiracy also suggests that she was in communication with the CIA and had affairs with Robert. F. Kennedy before the president's death...interesting.

ReplyDeleteThis is a super interesting and controversial topic. You bring up some interesting conspiracy theories that I never thought about before. I never thought about Jackie Kennedy being involved (it seems a bit unlikely and crazy) but it's still something to think about when discussing conspiracy theories. In my opinion, I don't believe any of the conspiracies. I believe Oswald acted alone. But if any of them were potentially true, the one that seems most plausible would be that Oswald didn't act alone or that Johnson had something to do with it. It isn't too unheard of for Vice President's to want the Presidency title. Again, this whole topic is controversial so it's hard to know what to believe and what not to. What do you believe?
ReplyDeleteI personally think that a lot of the conspiracy theories involve people looking a little to deep into the situation. I think for the most part it was probably a lot simpler than most people would believe. Conspiracy theories in general involve people spending to much time trying to find a way to connect things that don't have any solid connections.

ReplyDeleteThere is also another theory having to do with the way JFK thought. Many believed that he would make a difference in the world since he was such a great President and believed everyone had rights. Therefore the government planned to kill him in order for him to not finish his plans that he had in mind for the country.

ReplyDeleteLourdes, when you say that the government planned to kill Kennedy, was it because his ideas were too progressive for the country at the time?
ReplyDeleteI agree with Carina because it is weird finding a clean bullet next to a dead body and saying it came from Kennedy's body. The bullet should had blood all other it and i dont think there is a possible way for the bullet to leave his body, and the fact it was clean, it just doesn't add together.
