Conspiracy Theories: 9/11 - Flight 77

Flight 77 is possibly the most compelling of all the plane crashes. Headed for LAX International airport from Dulles, it deviated from it's original scheduled path of travel at 8:54 AM, and 2 minutes later, the transponder was turned off completely. At 9:37 AM, the 757, with a 125 foot wingspan, crashed into the Pentagon. However, the hole was only 75 feet wide. Another strange fact about Flight 77's crash into the Pentagon-- no plane wreckage was found in the Pentagon, only nearby evidence and remnants were found. So you decide-- did Fligh 77 really happen or is this false? Fact or Fiction? http://www.popularmechanics.com/military/a5659/debunking-911-myths-pentagon/

  1. Are there any other pieces of evidence that could back up the conspiracy theory that it didn't happen?

    1. Well, it's possible that it was a different plane that crashed into the building, possibly a private plane, and that the commercial airliner Boeing 757 crashed nearby, but not on the Pentagon. The evidence clearly shows that a plane with a 125 foot wingspan did not crash into the Pentagon and only make a 75 foot hole. Something is definitely off...

  3. Many people believe that flight 77 was simply just a hoax, and they actually used a controlled missile to hit the Pentagon, what do you believe?

  5. I think that the plane did crash into the pentagon. I think people just enjoy conspiracies and therefore people began questioning it. If the plane didn't crash into the Pentagon, then what did happen to the plane?

  8. Using some of the same research and evidence that was projected on the website that you provided, I believe that flight 77 was not a hoax, yet actually very real and true. It is believed that both holes that were penetrated into the pentagon after the plane's crashing are far too small to have been made by Boeing 757. However, according to the ASCE Pentagon building performance report, it's approximate 75 ft. wide hole was due to one wing hitting the ground meanwhile the other was sheared off by force of the impact of the Pentagon's load bearing columns which left the plane being "flowed into the structure in a state closer to a liquid rather than a solid mass."

  10. I would also like to add, the claim also tends to pursue the fact that "no plane wreckage was found at the Pentagon." According to Blast expert, Allyn E. Kilsheimer, who was also the very first structural engineer to arrive at the scene after the crash and helped coordinate the emergency response, Kilsheimer confirms witnessing marks of the plane wing on the face of the building. He recalls picking up parts of the plane with the airline markings on them and even holding parts of uniforms from crew members in his hands including boy parts, which is backed up by photographs of the plane wreckage inside and outside of the building.

  12. I personally think it is somewhat ridiculous that people expect the hole in the pentagon to be the plane size. If you consider the thin wings there likely wouldn't be any impact on the building except for the nose of the plane.

  13. I agree with what Jace and Andrea have been saying. The Pentagon is built out of steel and concrete, a plane made of lightweight aluminum doesn't stand a chance against it. People are wrong to think that there should have been a plane shaped hole in the building.

  15. The expected shape of one object hitting another is not always what is the result, if it were life would look like a cartoon. To think that there was a shape of a plane imprinted in the Pentagon would be impractical. As stated before, light weight plane and wings against a somewhat sturdy building. Not to mention that the plane did not fly directly into the building which means both wings, even if they did with stand, the impact on the building, would not have been fully spread.
